"For years now, I've watched as 'digital' and 'health' have slowly become synonymous. Not withstanding a pandemic that grossly accelerated our awareness and uptake of new technologies, and the huge impact artificial intelligence is having on so much of what we do.

In many cases, this has all involved a rapid pivot to engagement with technology without much of a foundation to lean on. I'd like to think I'm one of the few [original] health professionals truly immersed in what we now call "digital health" - whether that be in clinical practice, academically in teaching, through research, consulting, or various of my other innovation-related projects.

As clinician (physiotherapist), I realised years ago that digital technology would only continue to shape healthcare more and more. It's for this exact reason that I completed my PhD in this space and now make digital health and informatics a key feature of the work I do. I love my work and am regularly called upon by health organisations, companies, start-ups, media outlets, and individuals to provide thought leadership, strategy, advisory services, comment on trends, and educate in this area.
